Why Use a Rogowski Coil Mount?

The accuracy rating of a Rogowski coil can be highly dependent on the relative position of the conductor within the Rogowski coil due to factors that cause uneven distribution. Structural construction of the Rogowski coils and external interference from EMI and temperature can affect the magnetic field lines. These local variations make alignment critical to ensure highest measurement accuracy for any revenue grade solution. If the conductor is not properly aligned, variations in the magnetic field can lead to measurement errors, reducing accuracy and reliability. A Rogowski coil mount secures it in place around a conductor, ensuring proper optimal alignment for accurate current measurement.
