Multi-Protocol IEC 61850 Meter

AXM-WEB2 FOLC module is the premium upgrade for the Acuvim II Series meter designed for multimodal communication. The module combines Ethernet, WiFi, and a Fiber Optic LC connector including IEC 61850 compliance for superior interoperability. It features compatibility with multiple commercial and industrial communications protocols plus an industry-leading 8GB of memory.

AXM-WEB2 FOLC Overview

Designed for Acuvim II Series

Engineered for the Acuvim II energy meter, the AXM-WEB2 FOLC expands the available options for fiber optic LC, Ethernet and WiFi port. All three connections can be networked simultaneously, providing industry-leading flexibility across a range of applications.

EtherNet/IP Compatibility

The AXM-WEB2 module is fully compatible with the EtherNet/IP application layer protocol commonly found in industrial automation networks. Seamlessly add the Acuvim II+AXM-WEB2 to industrial settings and take advantage of the quick network response times, flexible architecture, and high data throughput of EtherNet/IP.

Multi-Protocol Support

IEC 61850 Certification

AXM-WEB2 FOLC paired with any Acuvim II meter is IEC 61850 compliant. When combined with the Acuvim IIW power meter, it is 3rd party certified for IEC 61850 (2nd ed.) requirements for seamless, rapid deployment and guaranteed interoperability in substations and other critical facilities.

The AXM-WEB2 FOLC module expands the Acuvim II Series memory capacity to an industry-leading 8GB with 50ms interval data logging. Most metering parameters, including energy and power quality data, can be recorded for later download or analysis.

The AXM-WEB2 FOLC supports robust RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) network architecture, which permits Ethernet ports to be daisy chained and allow the simultaneous connection of up to 32 devices to a single network switch or router. RSTP promotes high availability and "loop free" topology within Ethernet networks, improving network speeds and reducing downtime by providing critical resiliency to network faults or hardware failures.

Security With the AXM-WEB2 FOLC, protecting sensitive energy data and permitting access to authorized users is simple with robust, secure data encryption. Fully compatible with industry-standard wireless security options, the AXM-WEB2 helps to keep your energy data secure with WPA or WPA2 Enterprise security protocols. In addition, outbound emails transmitted over a network are secured by TLS 1.2 encryption protocol.

Compact, yet powerful, the AXM-WEB2 FOLC features a duplex fiber optic LC port that utilizes a 1.25mm ferrule and is significantly smaller than competing SC connectors. Superior to twisted pair cables, fiber optics provides fast, reliable signal transmission between the meter and the hub/switch with a 2km reach. Supporting multimode fiber, the most widely used type of fiber optic cable, the AXM-WEWB2 FOLC is ideal for industrial applications and a diverse range of installation options.
