Rogowski Coil Overview
What is a Rogowski Coil?
A Rogowski coil is an instrument used to safely measure AC electrical current traveling through a primary conductor such as a cable or busbar in an electrical panel. Through a step-down process it can be used for metering or protection purposes. As electrical current flows through the conductor it induces a voltage in the coil in proportion to the conductor’s current and its frequency.
Choose a Coil Length
AcuCT Flex Series Rogowski coils are available in four standard lengths (circumferences): 16", 24", 36", and 47". The model number indicates the coil length. Custom lengths are also available; contact Accuenergy for more information.
Choose a Current Range
Suitable for nearly any application, four, standard current range options are available to choose from: 1000A, 2500A, 5000A, 10,000A, and 50,000A. If your project has a unique requirement, contact Accuenergy for custom current range options.
Choose a Lead Length
AcuCT Flex Series feature a standard 2 meter lead by default. They may also be ordered with 5m, 10m, or 15m leads to accommodate a variety of installation requirements.

Compatible with Acuvim II, Acuvim IIBN, Acuvim L, AcuRev 2100, and AcuRev 1310 series power meters, the flexible CT directly connects into the energy meter just like a standard split-core or solid-core CT.

Rogowski Coil Features
Rope style form factor
The flexible, rope-like design of the AcuCT Flex Series is designed to easily fit into tight panels or around large busbars where rigid-body current transformers simply won't fit. Contour the coil to fit around irregularly-shaped conductors for easy integration in challenging environments.
Non-invasive design
Much like a split core, simple latching connector on the AcuCT flexible current transformer allows for fast, efficient installation without disconnecting any electrical conductors. Plus, the coil and connector is designed to be easy to use, even while wearing gloves.
Wide current sensing
Regardless of size, all AcuCT flexible CTs offer the same, wide 50A to 50,000A current sensing range to suit nearly any measurement objective. Unlike split core or solid core CTs that succumb to saturation beyond a certain amperage, the flexible Rogowski coil is capable of accurate, high-amperage measurements without saturating.
Wide Frequency Response Range
With an exceptional frequency response range of 10Hz to 20kHz, the AcuCT Flex current transformers are designed to quickly respond to changing current inputs, making them an ideal choice for any application with rapidly fluctuating amperages.
High Accuracy
The AcuCT Flex Rogowski coils are engineered for high accuracy, 0.5% current readings across the entire measurement range. Accuenergy’s high-performance power and energy meters are designed for plug-and-play compatibility with any AcuCT Flex Rogowski coil current transformer. With integrator circuitry built right into each instrument, directly connect Rogowski coils without any additional hardware or special wiring required.

Rogowski Integrator Kit
If you are connecting to a non-Accuenergy meter, an integrator may be necessary to amplify the output signal from the AcuCT flex Rogowski coil. Integrators can amplify and transduce the standard output from the Rogowski coil to a commonly accepted signal, such as 333mV or 5A. The integrator can also compensate for the Rogowski coil's inherent 90 degree phase shift. The Accuenergy Rogowski Integrator Kit (RIK) provides an easy-to-use solution for 3rd party power meters or other equipment. Select the integrator below that matches your device's input requirement.
